Senior Sunrise

Bella Lankford, Managing Editor

Friday, October 15, 2022, a new tradition was started for the high school. At six-thirty that morning, the senior class met at the football field in their pajamas and wrapped in blankets. They all sat together to watch the sunrise, with donuts and milk provided by Aimee Danner and the school cafeteria. Thirty-four students, joined with around 10 parents, were able to celebrate Diamond’s first Senior Sunrise. While watching the sunrise, students wrote letters to their future self. These letters will be passed out during Senior Sunset to be read. Senior Sunset will occur around a week before graduation.
