Diamond Fights Their Way at State

Karl Culbertson

With high school wrestling season coming to an end, the Diamond battle cats send 6 people to state. Senior, Landon Clement, is returning for his second time at state. Although this year Landon is expecting to come out even stronger. His goal is to make it further than he did last year when he took third. This year Landon managed to place top seat in districts, and T-may was right behind him taking third. Both Ty Douglas and Josey Crisp are also going to state for their second year in a row. As far as first time state competitors go, there is freshman, Brayden Clement, the younger brother of Landon Clement. This is only his first year wrestling at high school level, so he has a bright 3 years ahead of him. Lastly, there is junior, Breydon Pelt, who has found himself a place at state for his first time. Overall Diamond has had a successful wrestling season this year, and will continue to fight hard at state.
