Welcome Wildcats! If you missed the game on Friday night against the Seneca Indians, here’s the run down: First, Luke Lawson (12) sets up for the tip off for the Wildcats and he wins the tip for the Wildcats’ first possession. The Wildcats quickly fall behind in the middle of the first quarter (9-0) but quickly turns it around as Luke drills a three from deep and gets the team started back up. The quarter finished 16-7 with Seneca in the lead. Tyler Daniels (10) knocks down a three to get the Wildcats started on a 12-3 scoring run tying the game up to 19-19. For the rest of the second quarter, both teams trade punches over and over again ending the half (28-24) with Seneca in the lead once again. With the start of the third quarter, Ty Mcdermott (10) starts of with a quick two points followed by Tyler Daniels shooting a three from deep making the score 29-28. With two consecutive threes from Blake Irwin (10) and Ty Mcdermott, the Wildcats finish the third with a 42-35 lead. Each team was trading baskets for all of the fourth quarter. With two minutes left, the Wildcats fight to keep their lead (54-49). With 30 seconds left on the clock, the Wildcats are up by five (56-51) as the Seneca Indians are forced to foul Hunter Shallenburger (11) to stop time. Hunter drains both free throws making the score 58-54. The boys iced the game in an emphatic victory for the Diamond Wildcats over the Seneca Indians.
