Opinion: Modern Movie Industry is a Joke

An opinion essay over why the modern movie industry is not as great as it once was.

So normally I do more professional stories, but can I just say the modern movie industry is a complete joke. Who is actually approved of a horror movie called “Selfie Man”? For anyone who doesn’t know, and bless your soul for not knowing, there was an actual movie about a selfie ghost. You can’t make this stuff up. If you thought that was the most ridiculous thing you have heard, it doesn’t end there. Another amazing horror idea has been made into a movie in the film “The Drone.” Yep, there is a movie about killer drones.

It’s not just bad horror movies killing the movie industry. Every other movie is a sequel or reboot. The Star Wars sequels are perfect examples of how sequels are killing movie entertainment and reboots like the new “Bladerunner” are why it’s not always best to reboot a franchise just because lots of people used to like it then bank on nostalgia.

On top of that, there is a load of generic kids movies designed with only the intent to suck the souls from parents wallets. Fortunately, people are waking up to this market scam since the most recent Disney movie, “Onward,” to release in theaters is a complete and utter flop.
