The First Ever Store With No Cashiers

Jon Corbett, author

Amazon opened the first store with no cashiers today. The store tracks when you take an item and it adds you to a virtual cart. When you walk out of the store you get charged for any goods you got. The store is more convenient because it removes the hassle of waiting in line or dealing with annoying self checkout. The store would also make it extremely difficult to shoplift whenever everything is functioning correctly. However, in the case that something malfunctions someone could be walking away with their items, free of charge.
