How early do you wake up? How long does it take you to get ready? How often are you late? These are all questions you should be asking yourself. If you wake up late, and it takes you a while to get ready, and you’re often late, you should probably start waking up earlier. Statistics state that having a sleep routine makes it easier to go to sleep and wake up. Going to bed late and waking up early is very hard on your body. Let’s be honest. For most people, it’s not easy to get up first thing in the morning, but if you have a schedule and a routine, it will make it a lot easier.

One reason you should wake up early is so you can eat breakfast. Most people don’t eat breakfast in the morning, and that leads to poorer eating habits later in the day. Another reason you need to wake up at a decent time is because it enhances your productivity. Brains tend to be most alert in the morning. If your brain is more alert and more focused, you can get more done. You will feel like you have more energy throughout the day if you get up early.

Tips:

  1. Go to bed earlier
  2. Never hit the snooze button
  3. Get at least 7-8.5 hours of sleep
  4. Don’t use your electronics before bed
  5. Don’t get on social media when you wake up
  6. Take a shower to get refreshed and ready for the day
  7. Stick to a routine or a schedule
