DECA’s Vice President, Maddie Cupp came up with the perfect idea to show appreciation to the custodians by creating simple, paper Christmas trees to hang up “ornaments” and notes to thank the custodians. DECA asked all the organizations if they wanted to participate and gave them the ornaments to write on. Many ornaments were made and hung up on the trees. The meaning behind this kind gesture was current DECA members of DHS found it important to take time out of their day to show someone that they are appreciated, especially around this time of year. Maddie saw the idea a few years ago at a volleyball tournament during  Thanksgiving, and thought that DECA could do this.
